Horse Thief Reservoir Park will tentatively open June 30, 2010 for fishing, water recreation and day use only.

Camping areas will not be complete until the Fall of 2010.

Closed Hours

• The park entrance gate will be closed to the public and for all public uses from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.   Off season time will be posted at office and information stations.
• Exception:  Holders of current camping permits, boating permits, and valid state fishing licenses are allowed within the park during closed hours.  Holders of current Special Use permits are allowed within the park during closed hours if such permit so specifies.

Quiet Hours

• Quiet hours are between 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Actions which alarm, anger, or disturb others, as well as the operation of a generator, radio, television or other sound producing device at a noise level which may disturb the peace of others,  are prohibited.

A two-tiered fee structure will be used. “Area” users are those whose vehicles are tagged in Ford, Finney, Gray, or Hodgeman Counties (HorseThief Reservoir Benefit District).  Proof of vehicle registration must be provided. “Out-of-Area” users are those whose vehicles are tagged in any other area. The fee structure is as follows:

Daily Fees, 2 utilities - $9.00

(No discount for area residents)                                 

*Daily Vehicle Permits expire at 10 am.
